HD PLA can be used as a replacement for ABS. It can be printed as ordinary PLA and then heated, thus gaining ABS-like properties. This makes it possible to skip printing with this material and avoid all the inconveniences accompanying the printing process: shrinkage, irritating odor, inhalation of health-hazardous fumes.
After annealing, the prints gain better impact strength and increased resistance to higher temperatures.
