The 1.75mm orange ABS flament is a hard, impact, heat and scratch resistant material. Prints can be processed mechanically and chemically (acetone). Ideal for concept models, prototypes and production requiring greater rigidity
ABS is characterized by high hardness and impact strength. It is also more resistant to high temperatures and scratches. Prints from this filament can be additionally treated mechanically and chemically (with acetone).
The resulting parts can be used to create conceptual models of new products and even their target versions. ABS is also used in manufacturing, in prototyping parts that require greater rigidity.
Properties:
ABS (an acronym for Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) filament is one of the most popular materials used in 3D printers. It is a thermoplastic polymer that is characterized by high strength, stiffness and impact resistance. Thanks to its properties, objects printed from ABS are durable and weatherproof.
It is worth noting, however, that ABS printing can require a bit more experience and precision than printing with other materials. 3D printers must ensure that the printing table is at the right temperature and that the printer's enclosures are sealed to avoid distortion during cooling. Additionally, ABS can emit a somewhat unpleasant odor during printing.
Despite these challenges, ABS filament is widely used in a variety of fields such as prototyping, mechanical component manufacturing, model making and many other applications where durability and strength are key requirements.
